Good Stuff

So I've discovered a new product along with my sister Stephanie. We found them at the same time. They are Skinny Cow Ice cream desserts. I've only tried the ice cream sandwiches and they are so good! The good part is that they are only 140 calories, and 97% fat free, with 3 grams of fiber. The best thing about them is that they don't taste like they are lower calories and basically fat free. They are super good and you don't have to feel guilty for having a yummy treat. I bought them for myself, and Dustin ended eating most of them. So needless to say I had to get more. Try them if you haven't already.

Out With the Old and In with the New-ish

So Dustin's older brother Josh and his fam are moving to Mexico! Josh got a job offer there so they are heading south of the border pretty soon. Since they are moving so far away they gave us their VW Passat. First of all we want to give them a big thank you! We love it! Since we already have two cars, this was an excuse to get rid of the 1998 Saturn SL1 and replace it with the Passat. Let me tell you a little bit about this fine piece of machinery. My dad bought the Saturn for me to drive and in high school and it truly did serve it's purpose. Although it's not the the most luxurious car you've ever seen, I've definitely have some memories with it. First, I learned to drive a stick in that car. During that time I remember my brother and sister getting so mad at me because I would drop them off like a quarter mile outside their school to avoid this dreaded hill every morning. That car went back and forth from Idaho to Washington, I don't know how many times when I was at BYUI. This was also the same vehicle that I got in a car accident with 4 days before my wedding and after our honeymoon we drove it back to Idaho with duck tape holding the bumper in place. Aw, memories. I just can't believe that it made the 36 hour drive here to Michigan. Now Dustin's younger brother can enjoy this sweet ride because we gave it to him, free of charge of course. It's the least we could do for him getting if off our hands. Now if we could all have a moment of silence for the '98 Saturn SL1...

This Ones Not For The Boys

So I'm a big beauty product buff. Anything hair, skin, makeup related, I'm interested. So I thought I would share some of my recent beauty finds with you, and they are all from the grocery store and cheap!

So I think I've tried every type of foundation out there. Cream foundation, liquid, mineral powder, etc. But Covergirl TruBlend whipped foundation is my ultimate favorite. It goes on so smooth and isn't cakey or thick, yet has good coverage. And the TruBlend line is supposed to match with every skin tone. I'm hooked.

Well I just cut 4 inches of my hair and my short doo was lacking some texture and volume. I just bought this Garnier texture cream. Love it! Honestly I bought this stuff because it was the cheapest thing at the store. Well I'm glad I did, because it works really well. If you have a shorter hair cut and need some texture, this stuff works great.

Okay this one isn't a new beauty find, I've been using it for probably six years! It's Maybelline Full and Soft mascara. Love this stuff. I don't even remember using anything else. The name of the mascara speaks for itself.

So I want to hear all of your great finds! It could be anything from makeup to food to whatever! Please share...

Washington Trip

So this last week I spent a few days in Washington to see my new nephew and spend some time with the fam. The weather was beautiful, and Hayden is adorable. Definately worth the never ending flight. Here a few pictures of my trip.

Some Mt. Rainier shots

I think Perry is physically unable to smile in a picture

Here's the cutie pie

Again, Perry unable to take a normal picture, haha

It that time again

So I needed a change. My hair was a drag. So I decided to chop it off and go a little darker. I've never been this short, but I really like it and Dustin likes it better than any other hairstyle I've had. So there you go. I did this about two weeks ago but I've never posted pictures because I went home to Washington this last weekend and wanted it to be a surprise. The first thing my little brother said to me when I walked in was..."everytime you come home your hair is different." What can I say. Hope you like it!

Finally!!

So Dustin just received the offer he had been hoping for, for his summer internship. Yay! We will be spending the summer in.....drumroll please..... New London Connecticut. Random, I know. The company is called Pfizer and is the largest pharmaceutical company in the world, so needless to say this a great company and will be a great opportunity. The company headquaters is in NYC, but we will be at one the Research and Development location in Connecticut. New London is two hours northeast of NYC and two hours South of Boston and is right on the water. It's a fairly small town with only 26,000 people. Who would of thought we would live in Connecticut?! Oddly enough I've always wanted to go there, I've heard it's beautiful, so I'm very excited. Dustin was pulling for the position in NYC, but we are just excited to get the offer and have the stress of it all off our shoulders. Dustin has been working so hard and going to countless interviews, so this is quite a relief. To throw a curveball into the situation, he has received an offer from Dell in Austin, but hasn't really heard the numbers yet. More than likley we will be in Connecticut for the summer, Dustin is more interested in Pfizer than Dell, so we'll see. Here is a picture of New London. We expect everyone to come and visit!

New Nephew

My sister Steph and her husband Matt had an adorable baby boy on Tuesday. I am so happy to have another nephew. He is such a cutie pie. I'm flying to Seattle next week to see him and I can't wait. Steph went through a not so fun labor, so I'm glad that she is recooperating nicely and that Steph and Hayden are healthy. Congrats Steph and Matt, we are so happy for you!
