Happy Halloween!!

Blogger is being annoying and making it difficult for me to drag and put these pictures in order. Anyone else ever have this problem? Anywho, this is our Halloween. I babysat for friend this morning so I took the two girls to Library story time. I made 3 ingredient pumpkin cookies that turned out delish and then some good 'ol pumpkin carving.  Happy Halloween!

Halloween Office Party

Dustin's work put on a huge Halloween party for all the employee children. They went all out! Each department decorated with a different theme, with mazes through the cubicles, games, prizes and awesome costumes. They seriously went all out. Besides being a little scared of the life sized Sponge Bob, and staring at everything with a concerned look (especially the bearded lady at the circus themed station) I think Stella had a lot of fun.

Frugal Finds Friday

Now I won't be doing frugal finds every week, or just on Fridays, but today it just happened to work out that way :)
One of my favorite stores to find great deals is The Limited. I think their clothes are well made and really cute.  They have just the same trendy pieces as LOFT or JCrew but a little cheaper.  Best part about The Limted is that they always have the best clearance racks! I have scored some major deals there. For instance...
I tried on these printed cropped pants a month or so ago. Even though they were a great price of $19.99 on clearance, I decided to pass them up.  So just a few weeks ago I went back and saw they still had some left in my size on the clearance rack, but now marked down to $9.99!  I just couldn't pass them up again for that price. I purchased these recently so the may or may not still be in stores on the clearance rack.
The Limited pants $9.99 Originally $54.90
I loved this silky pleated skirt the second I tried it on.  The price made it even better. This skirt is no longer sold but I have seen similar items on clearance recently.
The Limited skirt $12.99 originally $60
Now I'm just waiting for this little number to go on sale!

Frugal Finds

I wouldn't say I am a fashionista, but I do love clothes, shopping and getting dressed up.  I did a little post over at Stylin Mommies, (a friend of a friend's blog) that you can check out.  Like I said in my post, I love bargain shopping and I always find the deals. So I might from time to time post some of my great finds and tips for bargain shopping on this blog. Don't worry this will not become a fashion blog. I think there is already plenty of those out there on the web.  Just a savvy style post here and there, because this girl knows a thing or two about that.

The Weekend

The weekend consisted of a trip to the Discovery children's museum, getting in the Halloween spirit, park, drives, pizza night, homemade oatmeal cream pies (per request of the husband), golfing, the leaves finally starting to change, and some relaxing too.

Charlotte

We live only about 25 minutes from downtown Charlotte and finally took our first trip into the city. We went to an old diner restaurant called Pike's, where apparently they filmed a scene from the movie Shallow Hal with Jack Black.  The food was great and we then headed over to the Mint Art Museum.  Bank of America customers get into museums free on the first Saturday of each month so we definitely took advantage!
The Museum was really nice and had a fun kids area for Stella to run wild in.

And the award for the most random piece of art goes to...

Fun family day!
