Erin and Jake's Wedding

Starting off the week with Pedicures. Me with my new little niece Lucy Claire at Oshios. You can't go to Seattle without eating teriyaki. (oh how I miss it!)
I did Erin's hair and makeup for the wedding, this picture is during a test run for the wedding do! She's going to hate me for posting this, but it's too funny.
Dustin having a blast carting around chickens at one of the few Costco runs (again, you can't come to Seattle and not go to Costco!).
Some of the girls at the family and friends dinner the night before the wedding
Erin heading out the door the morning of the wedding after I finished her hair and makeup.
The happy couple.
Dustin and I at the Luncheon after the ceremony.
Hayden looked so cute at the reception!
Throwing the bouquet at the end of night a wonderful night.

24

I guess 24 isn't a very momentous age to turn, but I still had a great birthday. Saturday I had to work so when I came home Dustin had some beautiful roses waiting for me. And then we went out to ice cream with some friends, and headed to the movies after that. Sunday consisted of eating way to much treats starting with Dustin making pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. Sunday was my actual birthday and I was busy with church and 2 girls camp meetings. (yes I am camp director for the ward, yikes! It's going to be really fun though). But after all the craziness of the day I got to end it just as I had wanted, by talking with the fam, so it was all good.

Turquoise and Caicos

I have been wearing Essies new Turquoise and Caicos nail polish for 6 days straight and just barely got my first chip. Not only is the color cute and bright and fun for summer, but I can't believe it has stayed put on my nails this long without chipping, and with my profession that's just unheard of! My hands are constantly wet and scrubbing heads all day and nail polish NEVER stays on longer than 2 days before chipping. I'm impressed!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Thank you for...
hundreds of meals prepared
all the time spent worrying or thinking about us
countless rides from here to there
showing us right from wrong
being at almost every play, sporting event, and school activity
being our biggest cheerleader
being patient with us during the times we truly tested your patience
sewing our clothes
painting, cooking, or gluing school projects
giving us siblings who we love and miss daily
for being an example of a good wife, and a happy marriage
for making a house a home
praying for us
hours and hours spent on laundry
hours and hours spent on picking up after us
sacrificing your time and your hobbies to take care of us
the countless gifts and goodies throughout the years
loving us even throughout all of our mistakes
But hey we ended up just fine, thanks to you!
We love you and miss you on this special day.
Happy Mother's Day to our wonderful mothers!

4 Years

So our four year anniversary has come and gone without me posting a word about it. We had our anniversary last Thursday on the 29th. We celebrated by going out to dinner yesterday and I brought my camera but forgot to take a picture, oops. Sometimes I don't feel worthy of all the blessings the Lord has given me like my wonderful family, stable jobs during this unstable time, a roof over our heads, and of coarse the blessing of marriage, but not just marriage, a HAPPY marriage. There is nothing better! Through a "happy marriage" you mature very quickly and truly come to realize the important things in life, which are your relationships with those you love. I hope to be able to build the same wonderful family with Dustin that my parents, and their parents, and their parents, and so on, have made for me. I love being married to Dustin and I couldn't imagine my life any different. We love each other, we balance each other, we annoy each other at times, but hey that's marriage for you! You hurry through the bad times, so that you have more time to enjoy the good ones.
I found this old picture and I believe it's the very first picture that was ever taken of us. We look so young! (if you can even tell through the graininess of the photo) I think this is in our kind-of-going-on-dates/"hanging out"-but-not-official-pre-the-fight-which-we-do-not-speak-of-stage. You still with me? Long story. Happy Anniversary to my husband. I am so blessed.
