Paris-Day One

As soon as we landed in Paris we took the metro straight into town to the Louvre. We were there for hours and hours and still didn't see everything there was to see.

After the Louvre we made the very long walk to our hotel.

Our hotel was just a few blocks away from the Eiffel Tower, so we were able to walk by it at least once a day.

Our hotel was very small and quaint. Dustin did a great job picking it out. I loved the turquoise glass counter top in the bathroom.

I would say that the Eiffel Tower isn't much taller than the Space Needle but the base of the Tower was enormous and so substantial.

Paris-Day 2

The Notre Dame was much bigger inside than I imagined. It was so beautiful, our pictures don't do the inside justice.

Dustin the travel guide. He was great at getting us through the city, even with following a map that didn't have half the street of Paris listed on it.

Paris had the most beautiful flower shops all over the city.

We loved the Eiffel Tower at night time. They would light it up in different colors every few minutes.

Paris- Day Three

We flew out later in the afternoon so we were able to take the metro to Versailles in the morning and squeeze in a tour. The Palace of Versailles was built back in the 1600's. Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette were among many of the royals that resided there. It was very large and ornate and we couldn't believe people actually lived there.

This was the 'guest bed'. Not too shabby.

This was my favorite room. It was completely lined with mirrors and had dozens and dozens of chandeliers.

Outside in the gardens. Usually when it's warm the gardens are known for having tons of fountains going in all the ponds. Unfortunately, I think it was a little to cold when we were there.

This was the most tiring trip we have ever been on. I don't even know how many miles we walked in the cold and rain everyday. We were sleep deprived, jet lagged, our feet were swollen and aching, our legs were sore, (not that I'm complaining) but we would do it again in a heartbeat. It was an awesome trip and we loved every minute it.
