Nothing is better than white roses in the morning.  Thanks Dustin!  Here's to many more years to come!

Atlanta Here We Come!

Dustin and I are officially moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Dustin will be working for Delta Airlines in their Supply Chain MBA Leadership Program. We are both very excited and can't wait for the new adventure. Dustin has had the offer since last fall but wanted to explore other opportunities. The past few months he's had a bunch of interviews and a few companies gave him verbal offers but they couldn't committ to actual offers due to hiring freezes. With the economy the way it is, we are truly blessed to say that we have a solid job lined up. Working with Delta will give Dustin and me the chance to fly for free and see the world. We both love to travel and are excited for this opportunity.

A few random facts about Atlanta.

1. Atlanta is the 8th largest metropolitan area in the US; it's crazy to think that Seattle is 15th on the list

2. Atlanta hosted the premiere of Gone With the Wind in 1939

3. In the 60's Atlanta was a major organizing center for MLK

4. Average high in January is 52 deg

5. 13th highest number of foreign tourists per year

6. Home to CNN News

We don't know much about Atlanta so here are a few things we have heard (from Dustin's classmate that is from Atlanta) that are a must see.

1. Georgia Aquarium

2. The World of Coca-Cola

3. The Master's - not on my list but I'm sure Dustin will go since it's only 2.5 hours away

4. Centennial Olympic Park - created for the 1996 Olymplics

5. Sports - Braves, Falcons, Hawks and Thrashers

That's all I know about Atlanta as of today. We look forward to our new adventure in Atlanta and look forward to hosting visitors.

Hakuna Matatta

I had the privilege of seeing The Lion King on Broadway this week. Very good show, definitely blog worthy. Had great time laughing and singing along at the show, especially the part with the shirtless chip n' dale-esq hyenas. I guess we got our monies worth. But really, the singing was great and of course the costumes were amazing. Thanks for the fun night girls.

I'm official

I took all my state exams this week, passed, and got my official cosmetology license. Woohoo! It feels good to be done.

Bach recap

I would go on and on about the season finale of the Bachelor, but at this point I'm just exhausted by the whole thing. 4 hours! Really? Seventy percent of which Jason was in tears. Reminds me of a guy I dated (who we later nicknamed cry baby) freshman year at BYUI and he cried more than I did! Needless to say, that relationship didn't last long.

Anyhoo, after the marathon was over this was Dustin and I's convo-

Me: I think I lost all respect for Jason

Dustin: I think I lost all respect for this show.

Me: Dustin, you didn't even have respect for this show in the first place.

Dustin: You're right, good point.

Hey just as soon as I was going to go cold turkey on the Bach, they announce that Jillian is going to be the next Bachelorette and reeled me right back in! Dang you ABC!!

Happy Happy Birthday~

This week we had 2 birthdays in the fam. My youngest brother Perry had a birthday on Tuesday and my sister Erin has a birthday tomorrow. Here's just a little tidbit about them...

Perry: loves playing basketball, watching basketball, his Kobe jersey, basketball shoes, Nike sweatbands, rapping, beat boxing, and anything else having to do with basketball.

Erin: also loves basketball and is going to be playing in college this fall, loves the sun, beach, getting ridiculously tan, shoes, shoes, and shoes, boating, basketball shorts, ankle socks, playing the guitar, and Disneyland.
