2 Years and Going Strong!

Today is our 2 year anniversary! Dustin and I were talking about how it seems like our wedding was forever ago, yet we still feel like newlyweds at the same time! We had a great dinner at PF Changs tonight (my favorite), and then some shopping. Married life is great and I'm so grateful to have Dustin in my life. I can't imagine my life without him, it sure wouldn't be as fun. I still think about the downpour we had on our wedding day. Bummer, What can you do?

Weekend in Cleveland

So my sister Steph flew to Cleveland to spend a week with our friend Stacey. I'm only less than four hours away from Cleveland here in Michigan, so they invited me along for the weekend. Dustin and I went to visit the Heatons last October so it had been a while since I had seen them. I was so excited to see everyone and Steph brought little Hayden along which was a special treat seeing my nephew for the second time. The weekend was spent going to church sites, baking cookies(yum), shopping, playing with and holding the babies and talking until 3:30 in the morning. Still kinda tired from that! I didn't want to leave, I had a great time. Thanks for having me Heatons!

What a serious face Jack!

He was too cute in his bee onesie.

This face was just priceless.

Hayden making the biggest smile ever.

I think Hayden was having some difficulty holding his head in these pictures :)

Clarification

So I hate to be the bearer of false information, but apparently I was. Concerning the previous post, I guess e.l.f. isn't being bought out by Nordstroms and e.l.f. products are always a dollar online. Sorry! But hey the makeup is still a dollar, can't argue right? For more info see the previous posts first comment. (Thanks Eric.)

Make Up and Sunshine

So you can thank me now or later for sharing this tidbit of information with you. So one my friends told me about this website that is selling makeup for one dollar. The company is called e.l.f. (eyes, lips, face) and the reason they are selling it for a dollar is because Nordstoms is buying out the company to start selling it at their stores. So e.l.f. is clearing all their merchandise. Everything on the website is being sold for a dollar and there is free shipping if you spend 75 dollars or more. So a bunch of girls and myself are getting one big order together to get the free shipping. I've never tried this makeup brand before so that's the only downside. But I figured if I ordered a bunch of things and if one or two items don't work out, it's not like it's a big loss. It's only a few bucks down the drain. And the makeup has to be good if Nordstroms bought it over to sell themselves right? I mean it's Nordstoms! Check it out... eyeslipsface.com
As for us we are anxiously getting through the next few weeks until we head off to New York. We still don't know where in Manhattan we will be, the company said they will let us know here shortly. Fortunately time is going by fast. I can't believe Dustin is finishing up his first year of school. Time flies. And the days are much better here lately with some sunshine and 60 degree weather, finally! I wore flip flops for the first time since last summer yesterday, yay! We had a great weekend in the nice weather filled with friends, actually opening the windows, and some great BBQ ribs a Smokey Bones... Yumm.

Forget Connecticut...Here We Come NYC!

Dustin received a phone call today from Pfizer and found out that we are now going to New York City for the summer. They told him that after looking at his background and seeing what the needs of the company are, they thought he would be better utilized at the corporate headquarters. We are really excited to spend the summer in NYC and see all the sights. They will be putting us up in housing somewhere in the Manhattan area which will be really nice. It will be a little weird not having a vehicle for the summer but I'm sure we'll get used to public transportation. We expect even more visitors now that we will be in the big city. We aren't sure how much space we'll have but don't be shy. Pfizer also mentioned that they try to get their interns and spouses to Yankees games, Broadway plays, and other "must sees". Here we come Wicked!

Good Stuff

So I've discovered a new product along with my sister Stephanie. We found them at the same time. They are Skinny Cow Ice cream desserts. I've only tried the ice cream sandwiches and they are so good! The good part is that they are only 140 calories, and 97% fat free, with 3 grams of fiber. The best thing about them is that they don't taste like they are lower calories and basically fat free. They are super good and you don't have to feel guilty for having a yummy treat. I bought them for myself, and Dustin ended eating most of them. So needless to say I had to get more. Try them if you haven't already.

Out With the Old and In with the New-ish

So Dustin's older brother Josh and his fam are moving to Mexico! Josh got a job offer there so they are heading south of the border pretty soon. Since they are moving so far away they gave us their VW Passat. First of all we want to give them a big thank you! We love it! Since we already have two cars, this was an excuse to get rid of the 1998 Saturn SL1 and replace it with the Passat. Let me tell you a little bit about this fine piece of machinery. My dad bought the Saturn for me to drive and in high school and it truly did serve it's purpose. Although it's not the the most luxurious car you've ever seen, I've definitely have some memories with it. First, I learned to drive a stick in that car. During that time I remember my brother and sister getting so mad at me because I would drop them off like a quarter mile outside their school to avoid this dreaded hill every morning. That car went back and forth from Idaho to Washington, I don't know how many times when I was at BYUI. This was also the same vehicle that I got in a car accident with 4 days before my wedding and after our honeymoon we drove it back to Idaho with duck tape holding the bumper in place. Aw, memories. I just can't believe that it made the 36 hour drive here to Michigan. Now Dustin's younger brother can enjoy this sweet ride because we gave it to him, free of charge of course. It's the least we could do for him getting if off our hands. Now if we could all have a moment of silence for the '98 Saturn SL1...
