New post finally.... Trip to Seattle

Two weekends ago I flew to Seattle to see my family. I could not stand being away from my new niece any longer and had to meet her. The weekend was spent holding Lucy, laughing at Hayden and his performances that he puts on for us, doing hair and a lot of wedding talk. It's always fun to be home!

Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles

Dustin and I went on a short trip to Bonaire this weekend. Yeah, I had never heard of it before either, not until about 12 hours before we flew out Saturday morning. I had Saturday off work so we checked flights for every close beach destination since we had to be back Sunday night. Every flight was busy except for Bonaire. So we thought we would give it a try! Bonaire is in the Caribbean off the north coast of Venezuela, and east of Aruba and absolutely beautiful!

Bonaire is mainly known for it's diving and snorkeling. The water is so clear that we would sit on the dock and watch all of the big and colorful fish swim below us.

It was another very quick trip but we had a great time in the sunny 80-90 degree weather. Now you all know there is an island called Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles right? Who knew?

Exciting Week!

First...my younger sister Erin got engaged on Monday and we all couldn't be happier for her and her fiance Jake. They are getting married in May. Congrats guys.

And then my older sister Stephanie had her baby girl this week as well. She came early so it was a pleasant surprise for everyone. Lucy Claire is beautiful, and so is her name! Now Dustin and I have a niece and we are so excited.

So we didn't end up going anywhere...

Due to many circumstances we stayed home for the weekend which ended up being a very fun and relaxing weekend. We went out to dinner on Saturday and pretty much stayed in our PJ's most of Sunday, watched the Olympics, and made way too much yummy food. Monday we took a drive, did a little shopping and went out to lunch.

My sister Stephanie sent us a little V-Day care package with some candy and this adorable card with our nephew Hayden's face on it. I had to share it. Thanks Steph! Hope everyone had a wonder weekend as well.

Dustin and I both have this Monday off work so we wanted to fly out of town. But then this happened....

So now we are exploring other options. Maybe driving down to Florida if the roads aren't too bad? Who knows. Since we might be out of town here's an early HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Hope everyone has a wonderful day with the people you love!

Dustin turned 28 this weekend and we kept the festivities pretty low key, just as he prefers them. Could we be anymore different? Happy Happy Birthday!

New Years in Mexico City

We decided to go to Mexico City for New Years weekend to visit Dustin's brother Josh and his wife Amanda and their kids Zach and Tyson. Even though we were there for a little over 24 hours, we had a great time eating Mexican food, going to an art market and spending time with family. We even had time to stop by the Mexico City Temple and walk the grounds on the way to the airport. This is the second time we have been down to visit and we love it! It's a really fun city.
