Halloween

Well if this baby won't come I might as well have some fun at a Halloween Party. The cheeseball I brought to the party. Just a few of the girls. There were about 40 of us there, and I wish I would have taken more pictures of some of the great costumes. I wasn't really planning on going this party because I was hoping I would be having a baby. But since that wasn't the case, I threw this costume together at the very last minute.

Just call me XXL Cat in the Hat.

The Latest

Well I am 2 days shy of my due date and this little girl does not seem to want to come out anytime soon. We went to the Dr. yesterday and I have not progressed one tiny bit towards labor. So it will be interesting to see when she will eventually make her grand appearance.
I am large and in charge that's for sure. Puffy face, swollen hands and feet, the whole nine yards.
We are ready when you are little girl!

Little Pumpkin Baby Shower

Some of the girls here were kind enough to through a little pumpkin baby shower for me. It was so fun, the fall food was amazing and I got some great and needed items.
A few of the salon girls
And the Hostesses.
Such a fun night. Can't wait for our little pumpkin to get here!

Another Infrequent Update

You think I would be more proactive about blogging since I have a baby growing inside of me, but it's just the opposite. I have no motivation. My mom specifically told me to post some pictures. So here you have it.
Dustin's oldest brother and his wife just had a baby, so we drove over to New Jersey to meet the cute little thing. Grandma with Emma Jo I just loved holding her all weekend. She is so precious and such a good little baby. It's going to be really fun having baby girls so close in age. Emma and her momma. After 3 boys this is their first girl, so she sure get lots of attention, as she should. And here is the latest pregnancy self portrait. 35 1/2 weeks. I am in the home stretch I guess.
I have no more morning sickness at all which is awesome. That ended about 1/2 way through and was replaced by heartburn. yay.
Sleeping is getting more and more challenging, between numerous bathroom breaks, bad allergies, and back aches.
Luckily most days I am able to sleep in, and I take complete advantage of that.
I don't have any real strong cravings, but I can't get enough of cold drinks and juices, and an occasional soft serve ice cream.
My feet and hands are starting to swell much more frequently now, especially after busy work days at the salon.
Because of the swelling I miss wearing my wedding ring. I also miss sleeping on my stomach and back.
I am still trying to keep active with classes at the gym, the treadmill and light weights, walks and yoga.
Dustin and I took some prenatal classes recently which were somewhat educational.
Dustin has put together the car seat, stroller, bouncer seat etc. We only have a few more things to get set up and we will be good to go.
Overall I do not enjoy being pregnant and can't wait for our little girl to get here. But the frequent kicks and wiggles inside me remind me to keep positive through the uncomfortableness and be grateful that I am able to bring a little baby in to this world.
So there you have it, hopefully more frequent posts and pictures to come.

My adorable niece Lucy.
I got to see my friend Stacey who was in town visiting too.

I flew out to Washington last week to visit the family AND to throw a Surprise 30th Anniversary Party for our parents. It turned out so great and I think my parents were actually surprised! We were super sneaky and all of us 6 kids+ spouses did a great job at not spilling the beans.
Our custom root beer labels
The Happy Couple
Cutting the Cake
All 6 of us
The whole family at the party
We had such a good time and even had a little program with music, wedding memories read from family members, a poem and a question and answer trivia game with my mom and dad. Happy 30th to the best parents!
