Day trip to NYC. Why not?

So we took our first trip with our free Delta flights this weekend. Dustin was in serious need of some work clothes and there is a great discount designer clothing store we wanted to go to in NYC because they actually carry Dustin's size, (which can be very hard to find.) Here's a run down of the day...
-5:15 am get up and leave by 6 for the first flight out to New York
-Get to airport. We are pretty low on the standby list but luckily our names were called and we were the last people on the plane
-10am Get into NYC and take a taxi down to our old stompin' grounds of the financial district
-Stop at Champs, our favorite deli, and order the blueberry muffins and peach smoothies of course
-Head over to Century21 for some very successful shopping, dress shirts galore!
-Head up to Times Square to eat at the famous Juniors restaurant, very well known for their amazing cheesecake (and it was amazing at that)
- Walked around town (in the rain) for a bit and strolled through 5th avenue's NBA store, H&M for some more shopping, Sephora, FAO swarts, SAKS (Just to ooo and aww), and a few others
-5pm met up with my Virginia cousins who were ironically taking a New York trip themselves that same day
-Ate some great pizza with them at Patsy's, caught up with each others lives, and topped it off with Pinkberry
-7pm back to the airport to make our flight that as of the day before was half full, but once we got to the airport another cancelled flight had been rerouted on our flight to Atlanta almost filling it to capacity. Being 20th on the standby list we were certain there was not way in the world we were getting on the flight and started discussing plans to get a hotel for the night(not what we wanted to have happen). But again, lucky us, our names were the last to be called and we made the flight, literally closing the doors behind us. Hey we even ended up sitting next to each other in a spacious exit row. So it all worked out.
-1:30 am arrive back to our apartment tired as can be, but totally worth it! We could get used to this!
Good times in the Subway.
Dustin shooting some hoops at the NBA store
Reconnecting with my beautiful cousins

So fun! As I was reading your post I was thinking, "I think the Trost girls were in NY that day" and then I kept reading and you got to see them! How much fun and how ironic! I am so glad you guys had such a fun time and got in some great shopping -NYC style.
