We found out shortly after Thanksgiving that we were expecting baby number two! Even though I still had my rough days in the beginning, I wasn't nearly as sick as I was with Stella, and I was carrying a little differently, so I thought for sure it was a boy. So we were pretty surprised to find out it was another girl at the ultrasound. It will be really fun having girls close in age, not to mention we are already completely prepared for a girl. I am due August 8th. I will try not to complain too much when I am huge pregnant in the middle of a North Carolina summer.

The House
Well after 7 years of marriage we have finally decided to settle down in one place for awhile. When we moved to North Carolina in August we were excited to start looking for a house. Not an apartment, not a town home, not a rental, but a house of our very own. Big deal for us. House hunting was fine and all but we really weren't finding exactly what we were looking for. Whether it be the house, land, location or price, we weren't finding "the one".
To make a long story short we happened to come in contact with a local family owned builder who had a perfect lot on a quiet gravel road in the trees.
So we decided to build a custom home from the ground up. It has been quite the experience involving every sort of emotion we have. But we couldn't be more happy with the decision.
We move in at the end of the month, and to say we are getting a little antsy is an understatement. I seriously lay awake in bed at night thinking about it.
This is the wooded lot before construction.
Cleared lot in November
Framed in January. And the rest of the pictures are completely out of order.
We decided to do a one story ranch with a big great room in the middle, two bedrooms on the left side of the house and two bedrooms on the right. And there is even a space for me to have a little salon so I can do hair at home.

Nice Perry. ha.
Christmas morning with my fam.
Skyping Elder Rockwood in Texas!
The babies! Both Cooper and Amelia were not happy, probably because this is after Stella stared hitting them in the face. Sorry guys!! We have since continued teaching "being soft".
And a few pictures from our Christmas Eve dinner at aunt Jeri and uncle Alans. Such a great night!
My mom with her dad and 3 of her 5 sisters.

Trying to Catch Up
Sooo.....It's been awhile. I really am going to try to catch up on the happenings of our family mostly for my purposes. I don't scrapbook, I rarely journal, so this is it. And only if my mom and sisters read this, that okay too.
We are in a really exciting time in our lives; house, baby, new state, etc. and I really want to be able to have it on record.
I guess I will start where I left off four months ago (yikes).
Christmas In Enumclaw, Washington
It's always so nice to be back in your home town! And besides everyone getting the flu including Stella, we had a great time. All my siblings and their children where there (minus my brother on his mission in TX). It was so fun to be together and I finally got to meet my new nephew Cooper and niece Amelia. Such cuties!
Christmas Sunday. Always such a great day of church, music and food.
Spending the night in downtown Seattle
Love my Hayden and Lucy
